About MOMO.FM

Two women laughing together on a couch in a cozy, art-filled room.

MOMO.FM is a full-service Music Supervision company  based in LA and NY led by Kayla Monetta (left) and Alison Moses (right) working across film, television, and advertising projects. Kayla and Alison met in 2016 after being mistaken for one another at industry events and being told by their peers that they are kindred spirits. After meeting at the GMS awards that same year, they formed a bond over crate digging, early aughts indie, college radio, and sharing undiscovered vintage catalogue gems that they dreamed to one day place in their own future projects. After years of talking about it, Alison and Kayla joined forces and co-founded MOMO.FM in 2023. Since then they have overseen the music on season 3 of Ginny & Georgia on Netflix (which held over 17 million views in its first 4 days on the platform), the NBC drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society, as well as ten feature films and counting. They most recently music supervised Cannes favorite The Plague, and are working on the same director’s upcoming A24 film The Masque of the Red Death starring Mikey Madison set for release in 2027. Outside of music supervision, the gals are devoted radio nerds and frequent selectors whose guest mixes and shows have appeared on KCRW, KCHUNG, Resonance Extra, East Side Radio, and more. They continue to DJ in both Los Angeles and New York where they each reside.

ALISON MOSES

A people-pleaser at heart, Alison learned every song in existence so she could have common ground with everybody. Alison began her work in music supervision while she was still in film school and doing college radio, joining a three-person supervision team as creative support; her song ideas can be heard in dozens of television shows, notably GIRLS and New Girl, and studio blockbusters Trainwreck and Neighbors.

Alison’s keen ear for up-and-coming talent and hidden-gem-oldies, along with her ability to navigate complex licensing deals, landed her leading supervisor roles on the Donald Glover-produced series Swarm for Amazon, NBC’s eclectically-soundtracked Good Girls, and Hulu’s music-heavy reboot of High Fidelity, for which Alison was awarded The Guild of Music Supervisors Award for Best Music in a Television Comedy or Musical. Her knowledge of the global musical landscape is both broad and deep, encompassing hits and hidden gems from an array of genres spanning the 1950s to today; she is recognized by her peers as a tastemaker and avid seeker of the music industry’s best kept secrets. Alison is currently based in New York.

KAYLA MONETTA

Kayla’s work is driven by a passion for discovery, storytelling, and the role music plays in shaping memory, atmosphere, and emotional connection. She began her career in NYC at VICE's Noisey, overseeing marketing for the music channel while writing about emerging indie artists and underground music culture. She later held creative roles at Downtown Records and Cult Records before moving to Los Angeles, where she worked across A&R and creative licensing at publishing and sync companies. Along the way, she developed a reputation for championing artists early, helping secure first sync opportunities for many musicians before they reached broader audiences.

Prior to the birth of momo.fm, she worked at music houses placing music in high profile campaigns for brands like Google, Häagen-Dazs, Urban Outfitters, Spectrum, Marriott, Bud Light, Everlane, and more. Those years spent championing artists and discovering new music continue to shape her approach to music supervision today. Whether she's uncovering an overlooked catalog gem, introducing filmmakers to new artists, or helping shape the sonic identity of a project from the ground up, Kayla is guided by a deep curiosity for music and a belief that the most memorable songs are often the ones people haven't discovered yet. Kayla is currently based in Los Angeles but likes to say that she is bi-coastal because she has commitment issues.
